THE DESIGN PROBLEM

The NPO organization Hawaii Senior Life Enrichment Association with the aim of “becoming a bridge between Japan and Hawaii" required a spacial design to open their new HISLEA Aloha Desk in Waikiki for its over 1,000 members. A main challenge was how to utilize their allotted small space in an effective and aesthetically pleasing way.

THE DESIGN SOLUTION

Because of its corner location in a commercial complex, we wrapped the window with green graphics that create the image of Hawaiian leaves, coupled with strong imagery which helped to create visual impact and stood out even from a distance. The interior graphics of the room, also utilized green and displayed various member activities and enjoyable events that visitors are easily see and understand. The space has been a great help in increasing its member base.
